About Neighborhood Dining Group (NDG)
The Neighborhood Dining Group (NDG) is a prominent restaurant management company founded in 2001 by David Howard. With a commitment to exceptional hospitality and culinary excellence, NDG has expanded its presence across multiple states in the Southern United States.
It operates a diverse portfolio of restaurants that showcase regional flavors and innovative dining experiences. At the heart of NDG's offerings is Husk, a restaurant that has redefined Southern cuisine since its inception in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2010.
Husk celebrates the rich culinary traditions of the American South by sourcing seasonal ingredients from local purveyors and infusing global influences into its menu. The success of Husk led to its expansion, with locations now in Nashville, Tennessee, and Savannah, Georgia.
Restaurant Brands
In 2014, NDG introduced Minero, a vibrant Mexican eatery blending traditional Mexican dishes with Southern ingredients. The original location in downtown Charleston was followed by openings in Atlanta, Georgia, and Johns Island, South Carolina.
Minero is renowned for its house-made tortillas and a menu featuring authentic Mexican flavors complemented by a curated selection of tequila and mezcal-based beverages.
The group further diversified with the addition of Delaney Oyster House in 2019. Situated in a historic Charleston Single house, Delaney pays homage to South Carolina's coastal and inland waterways by offering a menu rich in fresh, sustainable seafood.
The restaurant's ambiance reflects the essence of Lowcountry dining, providing guests with a unique Charlestonian experience. In 2023, NDG expanded its portfolio again with the opening of Marbled & Fin, a modern steakhouse located in downtown Charleston.
This establishment pushes the boundaries of traditional steakhouse experiences, ushering in a new era of fine dining while celebrating the finest beef and seafood.
Another notable addition is The James American Grill, which opened in 2023 on James Island in Charleston. This neighborhood restaurant offers classic American fare in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
It serves as a community gathering place where guests enjoy familiar dishes crafted with care.
Team and Culture
NDG's commitment to excellence is reflected in its dedication to fostering team growth and professional development.
With a team of over 500 members, including 80 chefs and managers, the company emphasizes a work environment built on integrity, respect, and honesty.
