Mountain Health Network

Mountain Health Network, now known as Marshall Health Network, is a not-for-profit academic health system based in Huntington, West Virginia. It serves over 1.4 million residents across West Virginia, southern Ohio, and eastern Kentucky. The network is dedicated to delivering high-quality, multidisciplinary healthcare services.

In October 2023, Mountain Health Network integrated with Marshall University and Marshall Health to form Marshall Health Network, Inc. This unification enhances patient care, education, and community well-being through a shared mission.

Hospitals and Facilities

The network comprises four hospitals:

• Cabell Huntington Hospital, a 303-bed teaching hospital
• St. Mary’s Medical Center, a 393-bed teaching hospital
• Hoops Family Children’s Hospital, a 72-bed pediatric specialty hospital within Cabell Huntington Hospital
• Rivers Health, a 101-bed acute-care hospital

Additionally, it includes ambulatory facilities, medical offices, and employed physician practices, along with Marshall Health's physician practice and its facilities.

The network's facilities are primarily located in Huntington, West Virginia, with Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center serving as the main hospitals. Rivers Health is located in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

This geographic presence enables Marshall Health Network to serve a broad community across West Virginia, southern Ohio, and eastern Kentucky.
