Montgomery County Intermediate Unit 23

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU), also known as Intermediate Unit 23, is a regional educational service agency located in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

Established in 1971, MCIU serves Montgomery County by providing a wide array of educational and social services to over 200 schools. These include 22 public school districts, more than 150 nonpublic schools, four career-technical schools, and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

• Nonpublic School Services: Supports nonpublic schools with resources and services.
• PaTTAN (Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network): Provides training and assistance to educators and families.
• Special Education: Offers specialized services for students with disabilities.
• Communications: Manages internal and external communications to keep stakeholders informed.

These divisions work collaboratively to address the educational and social service needs of Montgomery County's schools, ensuring access to quality education and support.
