About Mississippi Aquarium

The Mississippi Aquarium, located in Gulfport, Mississippi, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education, conservation, and community engagement. Established on August 29, 2020, the aquarium spans 5.8 acres and features over 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits.

These exhibits are connected by landscaped walkways adorned with native plants representing all the physiographic regions of Mississippi.

The facility houses more than 200 species of aquatic animals and 50 species of native plants.

Notable exhibits include the 360-degree acrylic underwater tunnel, where visitors can observe sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, and other marine life from all angles.

The Changing Tides expansion added 7,000 square feet of indoor exhibition space, introducing three new biomes: Kelp Forest, Amazon, and Coral Reef, showcasing species like two-toed sloths, seahorses, and clownfish.

Interactive Experiences

Visitors can engage in interactive experiences such as the SeaTREK® guided underwater adventure, which allows guests to explore the ocean habitat without swimming skills.

The aquarium also offers dolphin and penguin encounters, providing unique opportunities to connect with marine life.

The Mississippi Aquarium is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the last entry at 4:00 p.m.

Admission prices are $29.95 for adults and $24.95 for children aged 3-12, with children under 3 admitted free.
