About Miru

Miru, meaning "view" in Japanese, is a modern Japanese-inspired restaurant located on the 11th floor of The St. Regis Chicago at 401 E. Wacker Dr., Chicago, IL 60601. The restaurant offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, and the Chicago River, providing a unique dining experience in the heart of the city.

The culinary team at Miru is led by Chef Hisanobu Osaka, known for his innovative approach to Japanese cuisine. The menu features a variety of shareable dishes, including tempura, skewers, crispy rice, and a selection of seafood and beef options.

Sushi enthusiasts can enjoy expertly crafted nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls, with signature items like the Triple Tuna Maki, which includes chutoro, otoro, akami, and garlic crunch.

For breakfast, Miru offers continental dishes alongside traditional Japanese options such as The Tokyo Breakfast, featuring grilled umami King salmon, dashi tamago, rice, and miso soup.

Lunch and dinner menus include a variety of salads, sushi, and lunch specials like the Tokyo Lunch, which includes a choice of protein with a side of miso soup, rice, and Japanese pickles.

Beverage Program

The beverage program at Miru is curated by Beverage Director Diane Cocoran and includes seasonal, Japanese-inspired cocktails, classic cocktails made with premium local spirits, and an expansive sake selection featuring more than 40 varieties.

Wine Director Kat Hawkins has also crafted a wine list to complement the menu. Exclusive to the Chicago location is The 1871, a signature cocktail paying tribute to The Great Chicago Fire, featuring local Rye Whiskey from FEW Spirits, house-made bloody mary mix, fresh dill, and a rim of smoked salt.

Dining Spaces and Events

Miru's dining spaces are designed by the globally renowned architecture and design firm Rockwell Group, featuring two stunning riverfront terraces and a sequence of dining, bar, and lounge areas.

The restaurant accommodates both intimate private dinners and exclusive buyouts, with private and semi-private event spaces available for groups of 10 to 300 guests.

The refined decor of the Library and Drawing Room offers a space for private receptions or afternoon tea for up to 65 guests.
