About Michigan State University
Michigan State University (MSU), established in 1855, is a public land-grant research university located in East Lansing, Michigan. As the nation's first land-grant institution under the Morrill Act of 1862, MSU has a rich history of pioneering studies in areas such as packaging, hospitality business, plant biology, supply chain management, and telecommunication.
The university's expansive 5,300-acre campus along the Red Cedar River features 563 buildings, including academic halls, agricultural facilities, housing, and athletic venues. Notable landmarks include Beaumont Tower, the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden, and the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, which showcases contemporary art.
Programs and Students
