Established in 1995, MHM operates with the mission of "Serving Humanity to Honor God," focusing on providing comprehensive healthcare services to economically disadvantaged and uninsured individuals.

A cornerstone of MHM's approach is its co-ownership of Methodist Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in South Texas. This unique partnership enables MHM to reinvest earnings into community health initiatives, ensuring resources are directed toward those most in need.

Services Offered

MHM offers a wide array of services designed to address both immediate healthcare needs and the broader social determinants of health, including:

• Medical and Dental Care: Comprehensive services for individuals without insurance or financial means. Services use a sliding fee scale based on income and family size to guarantee access.
• Behavioral Health Services: Counseling and support such as individual and family therapy, stress management, and grief counseling.
• Community Health Programs: Initiatives like the Community Health Worker program connecting individuals to resources, and the Wesley Nurse program offering health education and care coordination.
