Recent Developments
In August 2024, McKesson announced acquiring a controlling 70% stake in Core Ventures, a business and administrative services unit of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), for $2.49 billion in cash. This acquisition diversifies McKesson’s specialty services, including branded, specialty, and generic drugs distribution and physician management services.
FCS operates nearly 100 locations across Florida with more than 250 physicians and 280 nurses and physician assistants.
