Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital (MLKCH) is a private, nonprofit healthcare institution dedicated to providing comprehensive medical services to the South Los Angeles community. Established in 2015, the hospital operates a 131-bed facility offering general acute care, emergency services, critical care, and labor and delivery services.

In addition to inpatient care, MLKCH offers a range of outpatient services. These include primary care, pediatrics, endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology, urology, psychiatry, podiatry, wound care, infectious disease management, surgery, and addiction medicine. The hospital is recognized as a Diabetes Center of Excellence, reflecting its commitment to high-quality diabetes care.

MLKCH is also known for its award-winning maternity program, which provides comprehensive support to mothers before, during, and after pregnancy. The program features a nurse-midwife driven model offering unique physician-midwife support. It achieves low C-section rates with outstanding outcomes, particularly for women of color.

The hospital is part of the MLK Community Healthcare Medical Campus, a collaborative effort that includes the Martin Luther King, Jr. Outpatient Center, the MLK Mental Health Urgent Care Center, the MLK Recuperative Care Center, and the MLK Center for Public Health. This integrated approach ensures residents access a comprehensive range of healthcare services within a single location.
