Long Island University

Long Island University (LIU) is a private, coeducational institution of higher education with campuses and programs spanning the New York metropolitan area, overseas, and online. Established in 1926, LIU offers over 500 academic programs across its main campuses—LIU Brooklyn and LIU Post—as well as non-residential locations and online platforms.

The Center for Healthy Living at LIU Post provides comprehensive health and medical support, including mental health counseling, health and wellness programs, nutritional services, and health insurance guidance.

Athletics

LIU's athletic teams, known as the Sharks, compete at the NCAA Division I level as members of the Northeast Conference. The university offers a variety of sports programs and has a history of athletic excellence.
