Lifespace Communites

Lifespace Communities is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating vibrant, purpose-driven environments for seniors across the United States. Established in 1976, Lifespace has grown to operate 16 continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) in seven states. It serves nearly 6,000 residents and employs over 4,000 team members.

The organization's mission is to empower individuals to live their aspirations by providing a continuum of care that includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. This comprehensive approach ensures residents receive the support they need at every stage of their journey.

In recent years, Lifespace has concentrated on strategic growth and technological advancements to improve operational efficiency and resident experience. The organization has expanded its portfolio via acquisitions and affiliations, such as adding three Texas communities in 2022 and a 257-unit CCRC in Geneva, Illinois, in 2023.

Lifespace also invests in technology to improve staffing effectiveness and enable more connected, efficient operations for both team members and residents.

Leadership is under President and CEO Jesse Jantzen, who joined Lifespace in 2020 after nearly 30 years in senior living leadership.
