LifeScape is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages to live their best lives by providing a comprehensive range of services tailored to those with disabilities and medical rehabilitation needs.

Services Offered

• Children’s Specialty Hospital: This facility provides specialized care for children with complex medical needs, including the Medically Complex Program, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Brain Injury Program, Intensive Feeding & Swallowing Program, and Post-Surgical Program.
• LifeScape Schools: Educational services through the Specialty School and Pathways to Life, focusing on individualized learning plans catering to unique student needs.
• Children’s Residential Services: Structured programs for children and young adults up to age 21, aiming to reintegrate individuals into their families and schools quickly.
• Adult Services: Programs such as Residential Services, Community Life/Day Services, Conflict-Free Case Management, and Supported Employment support independent living and community integration.
• Outpatient Services: Includes Assistive Technology, Autism Services, Clinical Psychology, Feeding, Swallowing & Nutritional Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Services, Speech-Language Pathology, Intensify, Go Baby Go, and RISE Custom Solutions.
• Center for the Arts: Programs encouraging artistic expression and creativity among individuals with disabilities to foster community and personal achievement.
• Family Support 360: A comprehensive support system for families providing resources, guidance, and assistance for caring for loved ones with disabilities.

Locations

LifeScape operates primarily in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with the main facility located at 2501 W. 26th Street. This location houses the Children’s Specialty Hospital, LifeScape Schools, and Children’s Residential Services.

Additionally, LifeScape has a significant presence in Rapid City, South Dakota, extending similar programs to meet the needs of the western region.

Recent Developments

In April 2024, LifeScape broke ground on a new $98 million campus in northwest Sioux Falls. This campus aims to better serve the region's growing population and address the increasing complexity of disabilities.

The new facility is projected to be operational by late 2026 and will significantly enhance LifeScape's capacity to provide specialized care and support.
