About LESC
The Lower Eastside Service Center (LESC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support and treatment for individuals facing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and homelessness in New York City. Established in 1959, LESC has been a cornerstone in the community, offering a range of services designed to empower individuals toward recovery and self-sufficiency.
Comprehensive Treatment Programs
LESC offers a spectrum of evidence-based treatment programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. These programs include:
- Outpatient Opioid Recovery Services (ORS): Designed for individuals seeking recovery from opioid addiction, providing counseling and support in a flexible outpatient setting.
- Medication for Opioid Use: Utilizing FDA-approved medications to assist in managing withdrawal symptoms and cravings, facilitating a smoother transition to recovery.
- Dual Recovery Services (DRS): Integrated treatment addressing both substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.
- Integrated Substance Use Treatment & Mental Health Services: Combining substance use treatment with mental health services to address the interconnected nature of these challenges.
- Continuing Day Treatment Program (CDT): Offering structured daytime treatment for individuals requiring intensive support, available in multiple languages, including Cantonese.
- Su Casa Residential Programs: Providing residential treatment options, including medication-to-abstinence residences and short-stay medication residences, tailored for various needs.
- Pregnant Women & Infants Program: Specialized services focusing on the unique needs of pregnant women and their infants, ensuring a healthy start for both mother and child.
- HIV and Hepatitis C Education, Testing & Counseling: Offering education, testing, counseling, and referral services to address the health needs of individuals in recovery.
Supportive Housing and Vocational Training
