Lee Health is a comprehensive, not-for-profit public health system based in Southwest Florida, dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to the community. Established in 1916, it has become one of the largest public health systems in the United States. It operates primarily throughout Lee County.
Hospitals and Medical Centers
Lee Health operates four acute care hospitals:
- Lee Memorial Hospital: A 336-bed facility in Fort Myers offering a wide range of services, including a 24/7 emergency department and a 60-bed Rehabilitation Hospital.
- Cape Coral Hospital: A 303-bed hospital providing comprehensive services, including a Level II Trauma Center, special nursery care, and various specialty programs.
- Gulf Coast Medical Center: A 699-bed hospital in Fort Myers, recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, offering services in neurology, orthopedics, and general surgery.

- Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida: A state-of-the-art pediatric facility offering comprehensive care for children, including the only 24/7 emergency department in Lee County dedicated exclusively to pediatric patients.
- The Rehabilitation Hospital: A 60-bed inpatient facility providing modern treatments for neurological and orthopedic injuries, as well as emotional support services.
Lee Physician Group
Lee Physician Group (LPG) is a network of over 80 practices throughout Southwest Florida. It offers a wide range of healthcare services, such as:
- Primary Care: Comprehensive healthcare plans tailored for individuals and families.
- Specialty Care: Services include surgery, heart health, orthopedics, pain management, gynecology, neurology, behavioral health, imaging, rehabilitation, sleep medicine, and more.
Outpatient Centers and Clinics
Lee Health operates several outpatient centers and walk-in clinics providing various services:
- Urgent Care: Treatment for minor injuries and illnesses at convenient locations.
- Imaging Services: Radiology services including MRIs, digital imaging, and ultrasounds.
- Lab Services: Blood work and specimen testing available at labs in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Estero.
- Rehabilitation Services: Speech, occupational, and physical therapy across Southwest Florida.
