An online fan vote in 2017 led to the selection of "Las Vegas Lights FC," with the logo designed to resemble the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, featuring neon tubing and the city's official colors of light blue, yellow, and pink.

Under the ownership of former Major League Baseball star José Bautista, who acquired the team in January 2024, Las Vegas Lights FC has experienced significant growth.
