About Lake Washington Institute of Technology
Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech), established in 1949, is the only public institute of technology in Washington State. Located in Kirkland, Washington, LWTech offers a comprehensive range of educational programs.
The institute provides 12 bachelor's degrees, 42 associate degrees, and 70 professional certificates across 41 areas of study. It emphasizes STEM-focused programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, preparing students for successful careers in these fields.

Special Programs
Beyond traditional programs, LWTech offers a Technical Academy, a full-time special-purpose high school program for students aged 16 to 20. This program allows students to complete their high school diploma while earning a two-year college technical degree simultaneously.
Other high school programs include Running Start, Open Doors, Tech Prep, Adult High School Completion, and WANIC.
