LaGuardia Gateway Partners

LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP) is a private consortium responsible for the redevelopment and management of LaGuardia Airport's Terminal B in New York City. Established in 2015, LGP comprises Vantage Airport Group, Skanska, Meridiam, and JLC Infrastructure.

The consortium was selected by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to undertake this extensive capital redevelopment project. The aim is to provide world-class terminal facilities and operations for passengers and airlines.

Project Overview

In July 2022, LGP completed the $5.1 billion redevelopment of Terminal B. This marks one of the largest public-private partnerships in U.S. history. The new terminal features 35 gates and accommodates the growing number of passengers and cargo at LaGuardia Airport.

The project was completed on time and within budget, reflecting LGP's commitment to excellence in infrastructure development.

Awards and Recognition

The redevelopment of Terminal B has been recognized for its innovative financing and design. In 2017, the project was awarded the Americas Transportation Deal of the Year by Project Finance International. This highlights the importance of investing in America's aging infrastructure through public-private partnerships and innovative financing.

In 2023, Terminal B earned a perfect 5-star rating from Skytrax, becoming the first terminal in North America to receive this honor. Skytrax also named LaGuardia Terminal B the World’s Best New Airport Terminal, highlighting its exceptional design and passenger experience.

Sustainability Efforts

LGP's commitment to sustainability is evident in Terminal B's design, which achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) v4 Gold certification. This makes it the first airline terminal worldwide to obtain this designation under the more stringent LEED v4 requirements. It reflects LGP's dedication to environmental responsibility.

Partnerships for Enhanced Services

The consortium expanded partnerships to enhance services at Terminal B. In December 2023, ABM, a leading provider of comprehensive facility services, was selected by LGP to provide integrated facility services and improve the traveler experience.

This collaboration aims to provide:

• Long-term asset preservation
• Efficiency and sustainability
• Diversity across the 1.3 million square foot facility
