Established in 1973, the hospital has a rich history of serving the Howard County community. It was originally known as Howard County General Hospital before its name change in June 2023.
This change marked its 50th anniversary and 25 years as part of Johns Hopkins Medicine. The new name reflects ongoing integration and growth within the Johns Hopkins Medicine network.
