Jewish Family Services Of Washtenaw County

Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County (JFS) is a private non-profit social services agency dedicated to serving the greater Ann Arbor community since 1993. Established by the Jewish Federation of Washtenaw County, JFS initially focused on assisting refugee families from the former Soviet Republics.

Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to address a wide range of community needs, including older adult caregiving, immigrant resettlement, and career services.

Mission

JFS is also committed to fostering community engagement and volunteerism. Opportunities include Comfort Calls, ESL tutoring, and participation in the Friendly Visitor Service, which connects trained volunteers with older adults for companionship and support.
