About Hillsboro Hops
The Hillsboro Hops are a professional baseball team based in Hillsboro, Oregon, serving as the High-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Established in 2013, the team competes in the Northwest League, providing a platform for emerging talent to develop within the Diamondbacks' organization.
Home Stadium
The Hops play their home games at Hillsboro Ballpark, a state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2013. This venue offers a seating capacity of 4,500, featuring modern amenities designed to enhance the fan experience.
In August 2024, the team, in collaboration with the City of Hillsboro and developer Mortenson, broke ground on a new $120 million ballpark within the city's Gordon Faber Recreation Complex.
Scheduled for completion in 2026, the new stadium will accommodate approximately 6,000 spectators for baseball games and up to 7,000 for concerts and other events. This will solidify the Hops' commitment to the community and the sport.
Team Branding
The team's branding pays homage to Oregon's rich hop-growing heritage. The name "Hops" reflects the state's significance in the beer industry.
The team's mascot, Barley, further emphasizes this connection, representing another key ingredient in beer production.

In March 2023, the Hops announced partnerships with several breweries to enhance the fan experience. These include:
- Breakside Brewery
- Pelican Brewing Company
