Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is the largest customer-owned health insurer in the United States. It operates through its Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Established in 1936, HCSC has grown to serve nearly 23 million members across these states. It is the fifth-largest health insurer in the nation.
