Hammer & Nail is a cocktail bar located in Midtown Detroit, Michigan. It pays homage to the city's mid-20th century cocktail culture. The bar is situated at 3800 Woodward Avenue in the restored Professional Plaza Tower.
This building was constructed between 1964 and 1966 and was once known as the "Hammer and Nail" building due to its iconic neon signs featuring hammers striking a nail. It has been revitalized into a vibrant hub for residents and visitors alike.
Interior Design
The interior of Hammer & Nail reflects the sleek and elegant aesthetics of the 1960s, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, walnut and leather banquettes, and a marble bar. This ambiance creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that transports patrons back in time.

The bar's cocktail menu is a curated selection of period-inspired drinks with a modern twist. Signature cocktails include:
- Noori & Nice: Rittenhouse Rye, Averna, and Noori Shrub

The Professional Plaza Tower, home to Hammer & Nail, was originally built as an office tower and became known as the "Hammer and Nail" building due to its iconic neon sign. The neon sign depicts hammers striking a nail at the peak of the tower.
This sign was restored and is now displayed behind the bar, honoring the building's history.

Validated parking is available for bar patrons at the Ellington parking structure located at Woodward and Mack avenues.
