Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to building and improving affordable housing for families in need. Established in 1976, the organization operates in over 70 countries, partnering with individuals, families, and communities to construct simple, decent, and affordable homes.

The organization's mission is to provide decent, affordable housing and build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

In addition to home construction, Habitat for Humanity operates ReStores—nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers. These stores sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home goods, and building materials at discounted prices. Proceeds from ReStore sales support Habitat's mission to build homes and communities.
