Overview

Griffin Club Los Angeles is a premier, members-only club located in the heart of West Los Angeles. It spans over four acres in the Cheviot Hills neighborhood. Established in 1926 by Elmer Griffin, the club was originally known as the Westside Tennis Club.

The club initially catered to actors and entertainers excluded from elite clubs at that time. Over the decades, it has evolved into a multifaceted facility offering athletic, social, and family-oriented amenities.

Tennis and Pickleball

Tennis has been a cornerstone of Griffin Club since its inception. The club features seven LED-lit tennis courts and a dedicated team of professional staff.

Members can enjoy private lessons, clinics for adults and children, monthly tournaments, and exclusive tennis events. Recently, the club expanded to include pickleball, adding four new LED-lit courts.

Pickleball offerings include drop-in play sessions, bookings throughout the week, clinics, tournaments, and special events to cater to growing interest.

Fitness and Aquatics

The fitness center offers state-of-the-art equipment and access to private trainers. Complimentary daily classes include Pilates, yoga, spin, and barre.

The locker rooms are well-appointed with steam rooms, saunas, cold plunges, and relaxation areas. Unique to the club in Los Angeles are two outdoor pools: a family pool with a kids' area and an adults-only resort pool.

Additional amenities include lap swimming, lessons, poolside dining at the Hideaway deck, two spas, and bookable cabanas.

Family and Youth Programs

Griffin Club focuses on creating lifelong memories for families. Family memberships allow children full privileges up to age 23.

The Kids Korner serves children aged 6 months to 6 years, while the Kids Fun Zone offers activities for ages 5 to 12, including sports and games. The club also provides summer camps, tennis camps, and enrichment programs throughout the year.

Dining and Social Events

The club offers diverse culinary options to suit various tastes. The Hideaway Cafe features poolside bites, while Palomar serves refined Southern California cuisine using local ingredients.

The dining experience includes family favorites, special Fit menus, artisanal cocktails, beers, wines, and ice cream, all designed with families in mind.

Recent Developments

In 2020, Griffin Club completed a significant $20 million renovation to enhance its facilities. Upgrades included adding a second outdoor pool, modernizing locker rooms, and expanding outdoor bar areas.
