About Greyhound
Greyhound Lines, Inc., established in 1914 by Carl Wickman in Hibbing, Minnesota, has grown into the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in North America. It is an iconic brand synonymous with affordable and reliable long-distance travel.
In October 2021, Greyhound was acquired by Flix SE, a global travel technology company operating in over 40 countries. This acquisition combined FlixBus's innovative technology with Greyhound's extensive nationwide network, enhancing the travel experience.
Greyhound's extensive network connects over 1,800 destinations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, serving more than 12 million passengers annually. The company operates a fleet of approximately 1,700 motorcoaches, including models from Motor Coach Industries and Prevost.
To enhance passenger comfort, Greyhound buses are equipped with amenities such as free Wi-Fi, onboard entertainment, and power outlets. The company also offers the WeSalute+ Program, providing discounts to active, retired, and veteran U.S. Armed Forces members.
In addition to scheduled passenger services, Greyhound provides Greyhound Package Express for value-priced same-day and early-next-day package delivery to thousands of destinations. It also offers charter packages for businesses, conventions, schools, and other groups at competitive rates.
Greyhound's commitment to safety and customer service is evident in its industry-leading driver training program, ensuring all drivers provide a safe and comfortable travel experience.
With a rich history spanning over a century, Greyhound continues to be a trusted name in North American long-distance travel, connecting communities and offering affordable and sustainable travel options for all.
