About Graduate Princeton
Graduate Princeton is a boutique hotel that seamlessly blends Princeton University's rich history with modern hospitality.
Located on historic Nassau Street, directly opposite the university campus, the hotel occupies a meticulously restored 1918-era Colonial Revival-style building, formerly a student dormitory.
This transformation marks the first new hotel to open in Princeton in nearly 90 years, nearly doubling the number of available hotel rooms in the town.
Guest Rooms
The hotel features 180 guest rooms, each thoughtfully designed to reflect the university's emblematic color palette of orange and black.
Rooms are adorned with orange-and-white seersucker drapes complemented by apricot-hued carpets.
Bedside lamps are inspired by the Revolutionary War-era cannon buried behind Nassau Hall, and custom wood-carved bed frames feature hand-drawn illustrations referencing the university’s annual Cane Spree, a tradition dating back to the 1860s.
Guest bathrooms showcase custom wallpaper inspired by the campus’ renowned arboretum, paired with framed sketches referencing Albert Einstein's time at Princeton's Institute for Advanced Study.
Public Spaces
The hotel's public spaces are equally captivating.
The Gothic-inspired lobby features a hand-carved wooden reception desk flanked by four wooden statues of the university's beloved mascot, the Tiger.
Floor tiles rendered in Princeton’s signature orange and black anchor the two-story library-like lobby, lined with thousands of books and a collection of colorfully embroidered vintage Reunions Jackets, a token received by alumni at their 25th Reunion.
A 30-foot carved wooden study table serves as a place for visitors and students to study, gather, and connect.
Dining
On the opposite end of the lobby is Ye Tavern, the hotel's signature bar and restaurant.
Named after a storied 1930s-era bar that once occupied the site, Ye Tavern takes design cues from its namesake, with an intricately carved wooden bar recalling the lancet windows found throughout campus.
Stone-topped banquettes weave through the center of the space, punctuated by leather-top tables.
The menu offers pre-Prohibition era cocktails, classic American entrees, regional fare, and grab-and-go offerings throughout the day in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
