About Fogo de Cho

Fogo de Chão is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse chain specializing in the traditional art of churrasco, a Southern Brazilian method of roasting meats over an open fire. Founded in 1979 by brothers Arri and Jair Coser, along with Jorge and Aleixo Ongaratto, the first restaurant was established in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

The name "Fogo de Chão" translates to "fire on the ground," reflecting the authentic cooking technique that has been a hallmark of the brand since its inception.

The restaurant offers a distinctive dining experience known as the "Full Churrasco Experience". Guests enjoy continuous servings of fire-roasted meats, including beef, lamb, pork, and chicken, all seasoned with simple spices to highlight their natural flavors.

These meats are carved tableside by skilled gaucho chefs, providing an interactive and immersive meal. Complementing the meats is the Market Table, a buffet featuring seasonal salads, fresh vegetables, traditional Brazilian side dishes, and the signature feijoada—a hearty black bean stew served over rice.

This combination allows guests to customize their meal to their preferences, ensuring a satisfying experience for all.
