Eggleston Services

Eggleston Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, training, and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Established in 1955 as the Tidewater Vocational Center, the organization began with just five individuals and has since expanded to serve hundreds through 33 programs across multiple locations.

The organization's mission is to help individuals with disabilities gain independence, confidence, and increased self-worth through on-the-job training and stable, rewarding work opportunities.

Employment Services

The organization provides community employment programs that assist individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment. These programs offer support throughout application, interview, and training processes, ensuring individuals are well-prepared for the workforce.

Additionally, Eggleston Services offers supported employment services that provide ongoing assistance even after job placement and training are complete.

Business Services

To create employment opportunities and support local businesses, Eggleston Services operates several in-house businesses. These include:

• Document Shredding and Conversion: Secure, state-of-the-art document shredding and scanning services.
• Commercial Landscaping: Landscaping services throughout the Hampton Roads region.
• Business Fulfillment: Services such as assembly, kitting, packaging, inspecting, testing, cleaning, bagging, labeling, and re-packing of bulk materials into ready-to-issue quantities.
