About Educational Media Foundation - K-LOVE & Air1

Educational Media Foundation (EMF) is a nonprofit, multi-platform media company dedicated to creating and distributing compelling media that inspires and encourages audiences to have a meaningful relationship with Christ. Founded in 1982 in Santa Rosa, California, EMF began with a single radio station and has since expanded to become a leading force in Christian media.

EMF owns and operates the nation's two largest Christian music radio networks: K-LOVE and Air1. As of 2022, EMF directly owns and operates more than 1,000 signals across all 50 U.S. states, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. Radio Networks

K-LOVE is a Christian adult contemporary radio programming service that reaches about 12 million listeners each week in cities including New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia, Nashville, San Antonio, Boston, and Denver. It is also the sixth-most streamed online station in the world.

Air1 is a Christian worship music network that began in 1986 and joined EMF in 1999. In 2019, Air1 shifted its focus to contemporary worship music, featuring songs by worship bands such as Elevation Worship, Hillsong Worship, and Vertical Worship.

Additional Media Ventures

In 2020, EMF launched AccessMore, a Christian podcast network that has garnered nearly 7 million downloads in less than a year. AccessMore offers content including religion and spirituality, science, society and culture, music, kids and family, and business.

EMF also oversees WTA Media, a leader in faith-based films and publishing. WTA Media joined EMF in 2019 and provides services such as product development and business operations. These services help creatives develop products and drive go-to-market strategies including production, marketing, and distribution.
