EAST OAKLAND COMMUNITY PROJECT

East Oakland Community Project (EOCP) is a dedicated organization committed to supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Oakland and Alameda County, California.

With over 30 years of service, EOCP offers a range of programs designed to provide immediate assistance and promote long-term stability.

Programs and Services

EOCP's primary initiatives include shelter and transitional housing programs that offer safe and supportive environments for those in need.

These programs are complemented by community-based services that assist individuals in securing and maintaining permanent housing.

Through partnerships with Alameda County's Coordinated Entry System (CES), EOCP helps MediCal-eligible individuals navigate housing searches, applications, and move-in processes.

Additional programs include:

• Oakland Together for Vets Collaborative supporting veterans with housing retention
• Family Rapid Re-Housing Program providing direct support and rental assistance to families with children
• Realignment Housing Program assisting adults on probation to secure stable housing

Housing First Model

Central to EOCP's approach is the Housing First model, which prioritizes placing individuals and families into permanent housing without requiring them to address behavioral health or income barriers first.

This philosophy recognizes that stable housing provides a foundation for individuals to effectively tackle other challenges.

Specialized Support

Beyond housing, EOCP offers specialized support for veterans, formerly incarcerated individuals, and young adults.
