The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is a premier venue located in downtown Orlando, Florida. Since its grand opening on November 6, 2014, it has become a cornerstone of Orlando's vibrant arts scene.

The center hosts over 300 performances annually, including Broadway shows, concerts, and special events. It is dedicated to providing a diverse array of cultural and entertainment experiences.

Architectural Design and Venues

The center features several state-of-the-art venues designed for various types of performances and events. These include:

  • Walt Disney Theater: The largest venue, with a seating capacity of 2,700, accommodating major productions such as Broadway musicals and large concerts.
  • Steinmetz Hall: Opened in January 2022, this 1,700-seat multiform theater is known for its exceptional acoustics with an N1 rating. It is versatile, configurable as a symphony concert hall, proscenium theater, or banquet hall.
  • Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater: A more intimate 300-seat venue ideal for stage plays, cabarets, and special events.
  • Judson's Live: A cabaret-style music room opened in January 2024, offering a cozy setting for intimate musical performances.

In addition to these, the Dr. Phillips Center includes the Seneff Arts Plaza, an outdoor venue for festivals and community events, and the DeVos Family Room, a versatile space for private events and meetings with views of downtown Orlando.

Community Engagement and Education

The center is committed to community involvement and arts education through its AdventHealth School of the Arts. This program provides classes and arts programs for individuals of all ages to foster creativity and artistic expression.
