About Delaney Oyster House
Delaney Oyster House is a seafood-focused restaurant and raw bar located in the heart of Charleston's historic downtown peninsula. Situated within a classic Charleston Single House built in the 1830s, the restaurant honors the Lowcountry's coastal heritage by offering fresh, sustainable seafood in a casual-chic atmosphere.
The menu at Delaney Oyster House features a variety of premium seafood and oysters, revitalizing the traditional American oyster house experience. Dishes include grilled Spanish octopus, spicy snapper ceviche with chili crisp and puffed rice, crispy fish or oyster platters, and shrimp rolls sourced directly from local trawlers. The raw bar offers an elegant presentation of shellfish, reflecting the restaurant's dedication to quality and seasonality.
The beverage program complements the seafood offerings with innovative cocktails, craft beers, and a wine list inspired by marine-influenced terroir from around the world. Notably, the mini-bottle vodka service serves as both a complement to the caviar presentation and a nod to South Carolina's history of requiring the use of airplane bottles in restaurants.
The ambiance combines the charm of Charleston's historic architecture with a modern, coastal aesthetic. The space is intimate yet vibrant, featuring indoor and outdoor seating, including a cozy porch and patio that enhance the warm Southern hospitality.
