About Columbus State Community College
Columbus State Community College (CSCC) is a public community college located in Columbus, Ohio. Established in 1963, it has grown to serve over 27,000 students across two campuses, nine regional learning centers, and online courses.
The college offers more than 250 programs, including associate degrees, certificates, and transfer programs. These span fields such as arts, humanities, social sciences, biological and physical sciences, business, computer science, construction, education, human services, engineering, and health sciences.
In June 2023, CSCC announced a major expansion of its health care programs, supported by a $25 million endowment from OhioHealth. This initiative addresses local healthcare worker shortages and aims to provide residents with more opportunities for high-paying careers.
Plans include constructing an 80,000-square-foot OhioHealth Center for Health Sciences and renovating classrooms and labs. The new facility is expected to open by 2027. The expansion focuses on nursing, surgical technology, medical imaging, respiratory therapy, and sterile processing.
