Columbia Association

Columbia Association (CA) is a nonprofit community services corporation dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents in Columbia, Maryland. Established in 1967, CA manages a diverse array of facilities and programs that cater to the recreational, cultural, and community needs of approximately 100,000 residents.

Facilities and Amenities

CA operates several full-service fitness centers including the Columbia Athletic Club, Supreme Sports Center, and Columbia Gym. These offer state-of-the-art equipment and a variety of fitness classes. For tennis enthusiasts, CA manages multiple tennis clubs with indoor and outdoor courts.

The association also maintains 23 outdoor swimming pools, four indoor pools, and two Mini-WaterParks, ensuring ample opportunities for aquatic recreation.

Cultural and community facilities under CA's management include the Columbia Art Center, Columbia Archives, and the Youth and Teen Center at The Barn. For winter sports, the Columbia Ice Rink offers ice skating opportunities.

The Columbia SportsPark and SkatePark cater to skateboarding and related activities. Golfers can enjoy the Fairway Hills Golf Club and Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club, both featuring well-maintained courses.

Open Space and Trails

A significant aspect of CA's commitment to the community is the maintenance of over 3,600 acres of open space. This includes lakes, parks, tot lots, basketball courts, tennis courts, and an extensive network of 95 miles of walking, jogging, and biking pathways.
