About Colorado Early Colleges

Colorado Early Colleges (CEC) is a network of tuition-free public charter schools in Colorado, dedicated to providing students with accessible and flexible educational opportunities that lead to debt-free college degrees and industry credentials. Established in 2007 with its first campus in Colorado Springs, CEC has expanded to include multiple campuses across the state, offering a range of programs for middle and high school students.

Mission and Philosophy

Programs and Enrollment

CEC's programs are designed to remove barriers to academic success for all K-12 students. They offer multiple enrollment options, including:

  • Full-time learning on campus
  • College partner campus learning
  • Online learning

High school students have the opportunity to earn college credits, associate degrees, or industry credentials while completing their high school diploma, all at no cost to them or their families.

In addition to its campuses, CEC provides unique learning opportunities for homeschool and non-public school students.

Through part-time enrollment, these students can complete core, lab, and elective courses to supplement their curriculum by attending classes on a CEC campus, online, or on the campus of one of their accredited college partners.

Authorization and Commitment

CEC is authorized by the Charter School Institute, a Colorado statewide charter school organization.
