Clara Maass Medical Center

Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC) is a 472-bed acute care facility located in Newark, NJ, USA. It serves the residents of Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Bergen counties. Established in 1868 as the Newark German Hospital, it was renamed in 1952 to honor Clara Maass, a dedicated nurse who sacrificed her life during yellow fever experiments.
