About Children's Health

Primary Facilities
The system is anchored by two primary facilities: Children's Medical Center Dallas and Children's Medical Center Plano.
Children's Medical Center Dallas, located in the Southwestern Medical District of Dallas, is a 496-bed hospital affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
It provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties, including a Level I pediatric trauma center. This center is recognized for its advanced neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
Children's Medical Center Plano, situated in Plano, Texas, is a full-service pediatric hospital offering over 30 specialty and subspecialty programs.
The campus features state-of-the-art imaging services, including MRI and CT scanners, and houses the Children's Health Andrews Institute for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
In December 2024, the hospital expanded with a new eight-floor tower. This added 140 inpatient beds and an expanded emergency room to accommodate the growing community.
Specialty Centers
In addition to its main hospitals, Children's Health operates several specialty centers and pediatric clinics throughout North Texas.
The Children's Health Specialty Center Dallas Campus is a six-story facility located across from Children's Medical Center Dallas. It offers a wide array of outpatient services in a patient-friendly environment.
The Specialty Center Plano provides comprehensive care focusing on family-centered services.
