The club has a rich history of hosting major golf tournaments, including the U.S. Open in 1938, 1960, and 1978, the PGA Championship in 1941 and 1985, and the U.S. Women's Open in 2005.
Notably, Arnold Palmer won the 1960 U.S. Open at Cherry Hills, delivering one of the most memorable performances in golf history.
