Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) is the public school system serving the Charlotte and Mecklenburg County areas in North Carolina. Established in 1960, CMS has grown to become the second-largest school district in the state, enrolling over 147,000 students across 184 schools.

CMS offers a comprehensive educational experience from kindergarten through 12th grade. The student body is diverse, representing 160 different countries and various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

The district is committed to setting high standards for all students, preparing them to be leaders in a technologically advanced and globally competitive world.
