The Center for Minority Excellence is a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being and success of minority groups in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Mission and Services

The center's mission is to improve the health and well-being of underserved communities in and around the New Orleans East area by providing accessible, affordable, high-quality, culturally competent community-based primary, preventive, rehabilitative, and behavioral health care.

Community Engagement

The center is committed to working with Greater New Orleans community members to reduce health disparities exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic.

It addresses inequities in health outcomes and chronic diseases and their impacts on the physical, mental, and social health and wellness of African American, Latino, and other communities of color.

The center provides pertinent information, resources, and community health education to support these efforts.

Through its comprehensive approach, the Center for Minority Excellence plays a vital role in fostering a healthier and more equitable community in New Orleans.
