Care New England Health System

Care New England Health System (CNE) is a non-profit healthcare organization based in Providence, Rhode Island. It is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate medical services to southeastern New England.

Established in 1996, CNE has grown to become Rhode Island's second-largest hospital group. It comprises several esteemed institutions offering a wide range of healthcare services.

Member Hospitals and Services

CNE's network includes several specialized facilities:

• Butler Hospital: Specializes in psychiatric, movement, and memory disorders. It offers acute inpatient and partial hospital services for adults and adolescents.
• Kent Hospital: The state's second-largest hospital providing a full spectrum of primary and acute care services. It is also affiliated with the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical education.
• Women & Infants Hospital: A premier institution for women's health and newborn care, operating one of the nation's largest single-family room neonatal intensive care units.
• The Providence Center: Provides innovative behavioral health care services, including mental health and substance use services, to over 18,000 Rhode Islanders annually.
• VNA of Care New England: Offers a broad spectrum of home health and hospice services for adults and the terminally ill, along with community education and support groups.

Additionally, CNE operates the Care New England Medical Group (CNEMG), which includes over 500 physicians and advanced practitioners. CNEMG delivers primary care and specialty services across Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. It partners with member hospitals like Women & Infants, Kent, Butler, and the VNA of Care New England to provide comprehensive healthcare.
