California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB)

California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is a public research university located in Rialto, CA, USA. Established in 1965, CSUSB is part of the California State University system and offers a diverse range of academic programs and services.

The main campus covers 441 acres in the University District of San Bernardino, with a branch campus in Palm Desert spanning 40 acres. As of Fall 2024, CSUSB enrolled approximately 17,900 students, including 14,993 undergraduates and 2,907 postgraduates.

Academic Programs

CSUSB offers bachelor's degrees in 123 programs, master's degrees in 61 programs, and two Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) programs specializing in Community College and K-12 education.

The university is organized into three colleges:

• College of Arts and Letters: Humanities, social sciences, arts disciplines.
• College of Natural Sciences: Biology, chemistry, physics.
• College of Social and Behavioral Sciences: Psychology, sociology, criminal justice.

There are also vocational colleges:

• Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration: First in Inland Empire to gain AACSB accreditation at both graduate and undergraduate levels.

CSUSB is classified as an R2: Doctoral University – High research activity, reflecting its dedication to research and scholarly activities. It is also a Hispanic-serving institution with a significant Hispanic student population.

Student Life

Student life is vibrant with over 100 clubs and organizations supporting diverse interests. On-campus housing includes Coyote Village, Arrowhead Village, and University Village, accommodating over 1,400 students.

Athletics

The Coyotes compete in NCAA Division II within the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The James & Aerianthi Coussoulis Arena, a 4,140-seat facility, hosts men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams.

Cultural Attractions

The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA) enriches cultural and educational experiences, offering a world-class collection with approximately 200 artifacts. RAFFMA is among the 4% of museums in the U.S. accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.
