BronxCare Health System

BronxCare Health System is the largest voluntary, not-for-profit health and teaching hospital system serving the South and Central Bronx in New York City.

With a dedicated team of approximately 4,500 employees, BronxCare provides comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health services to the community.

Facilities and Locations

The system operates two main hospital locations: BronxCare Hospital Center and BronxCare Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center.

In addition to these facilities, BronxCare manages a Life Recovery Center for chemical dependency, a skilled nursing home, and numerous outpatient practices.

These include the nine-story Health and Wellness Center and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center.

BronxCare's outpatient network is extensive, making it one of the largest providers of outpatient services in New York.

The network includes practices such as the BronxCare Health & Wellness Center, BronxCare Third Avenue Medical and Dental Practice, BronxCare Medical and Dental at Poe, BronxCare Ogden Family Medical and Dental, and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center.

Accreditation

In 2023, BronxCare Health System received full three-year accreditation from the Joint Commission, the nation's leading accrediting authority for hospitals.
