Bridges® by EPOCH at Norwalk is a specialized memory care assisted living community dedicated exclusively to supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. The community is thoughtfully designed with four distinct households—Hoyt, Sheffield, Betts, and Shea—each featuring comfortable and inviting common areas that promote a homelike atmosphere. These households offer private and companion suites, allowing residents to choose accommodations that best suit their preferences.

The design uses soft contrasting colors, directional cues, and abundant natural light to reduce confusion and promote comfort and familiarity.

Services and Programs

Bridges® by EPOCH at Norwalk provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals with memory loss. These include individualized care plans, wellness programs, and enriching activities designed to foster independence, joy, and purpose through all stages of memory loss.

Life-enrichment opportunities include sensory therapies, fitness classes, baking, painting, cognitive games, and live entertainment. Residents also enjoy trips to local attractions such as sporting events, cafés, and parks.

A key feature is the Navigator Club, focusing on health, wellness, and customized programming for seniors with early-stage memory loss. This program provides gentle cueing and prompting to enhance engagement in a secure environment.

Accreditation and Partnerships

The community has received the Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to excellence. This includes adherence to 60 best practices, extensive team training, and a collaborative approach within a safe and functional environment.

Bridges® by EPOCH at Norwalk partners with McLean, a nationally recognized teaching and research hospital, to provide ongoing geriatric mental health education to its caregiver teams. This partnership ensures a safe and engaging environment for residents.

All residents have access to 24/7 telehealth services through Tembo Health, allowing virtual appointments without leaving the community.
