About Breeze Airways
Breeze Airways is an American low-cost airline headquartered in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Founded by aviation veteran David Neeleman, who co-founded JetBlue Airways, WestJet, and Azul Linhas Aéreas, Breeze Airways began operations on May 27, 2021. Its first flight was from Tampa International Airport to Charleston International Airport.
The airline's mission is to offer affordable, nonstop flights connecting underserved mid-size cities across the United States. By bypassing major hubs, Breeze provides travelers with more direct and convenient travel options.

Fleet and Service Classes
The airline operates a diverse fleet consisting of Airbus A220-300s and Embraer ERJ-190s. The Airbus jets offer two classes: "Breeze Ascent" (first class) and economy, which includes "Extra Legroom" and "Standard" seating.
The Embraer ERJ-190s are mainly used for charter flights.
International Expansion
Breeze Airways has plans to expand internationally. In May 2023, it applied to operate flights to Mexico. Later in November 2023, the airline announced intentions to start flights to Europe.
Growth and Performance
Since its inception, Breeze Airways has surpassed five million total passengers and maintains an impressive flight completion rate of 99.8%. The airline fills a gap by connecting smaller cities to major metropolitan areas, offering more direct and affordable travel options.
