Bocage Racquet Club

Bocage Racquet Club, established in 1965, is a premier, member-owned tennis and recreational facility located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Spanning 11 acres, the club is situated at 7600 Jefferson Highway. It offers a range of amenities and programs for tennis enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.

Tennis Programs and Facilities

The club boasts a rich tradition in tennis, providing year-round USTA league play for both men and women across various divisions, including day and night leagues, tri-level, and mixed doubles.

Additional offerings include a Thursday night beer league catering to players from 3.0 to 4.5 levels, a summer mixed doubles league, and a women's wine league.

For juniors, Bocage offers a comprehensive program designed to develop young talent. The club also hosts social events such as club tennis mixers and a July 4th parent-child tournament.

The certified teaching staff provides private lessons, clinics, and team lessons to improve skills while offering an enjoyable workout.

Bocage Racquet Club offers a summer swim team program called the Bocage Sharks, in partnership with SELA Aquatics. The swim team participates in dual meets and the City Championship Meet.

The club is known for hosting the annual SJA Tennis Classic, a tournament that has grown to nearly 460 players and raises significant funds for scholarships.
