Course Design and History
The 18-hole course, designed by renowned architect Seth Raynor, is celebrated for its strategic layout and historical significance. Raynor's design incorporates classic template holes, including the Redan, Biarritz, and Double Plateau, each presenting unique challenges that test golfers' skills and strategic thinking.
This course has hosted notable tournaments such as the 1933 PGA Championship, won by Gene Sarazen, and the 1916 Western Open, where Walter Hagen claimed victory.
Clubhouse and Amenities
The clubhouse, constructed in 1926, is an architectural masterpiece built of lannon stone, reflecting the Cotswold style. It features a formal dining room accommodating up to 250 guests and four private dining rooms suitable for meetings and gatherings.
