About Birley Bakery
Birley Bakery is a distinguished establishment that brings the essence of traditional French boulangerie-pâtisseries to the heart of London. Founded by Robin Birley, renowned for his private members' clubs, it is helmed by maître pâtissier Vincent Zanardi. The bakery offers a contemporary twist on classic French baked goods.
The bakery's offerings include a variety of breads, cakes, and viennoiseries, all crafted with exceptional ingredients sourced globally.
The wheat flour comes from an artisanal farmer in Burgundy, sea salt from La Guérande in Brittany, almonds from Valencia, and dark honey from Bermondsey. A special reserve of bitter chocolate, created specifically for Birley, forms the basis of their range of chocolates.
Birley Bakery's commitment to quality and innovation has garnered attention, with plans to introduce a line of celebration cakes, including the Tarte Tropézienne, a classic French dessert.

Located at 28-30 Cale Street in Chelsea, London, Birley Bakery is open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 6 pm, and on weekends from 8 am to 6 pm.

The bakery's interior is inspired by fin-de-siècle tea-houses, featuring hand-painted murals by artist Lizzi Porter and antique Delft tiles that form the backdrop to a theatrical open kitchen.
