Behavioral Health Network, Inc. (BHN) is a prominent non-profit community behavioral health agency dedicated to providing comprehensive services to individuals facing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Established in 1938 as the Child Guidance Clinic of Springfield, BHN has grown to become the largest behavioral health service provider in Western Massachusetts.

BHN serves over 38,000 individuals annually across 40 locations, offering a wide array of programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of the community. These include outpatient clinics, residential treatment facilities, crisis intervention services, and specialized programs for children, adults, and families.

Their services encompass mental health counseling, substance use treatment, crisis stabilization, and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. BHN operates several licensed Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder outpatient clinics covering Hampden County, serving areas from Westfield and the hill towns, through Springfield, Holyoke, Chicopee, and east to Palmer and Ware in Hampshire County.

Innovative Behavioral Health Services

In response to the growing demand for accessible behavioral health services, BHN introduced the "BHN WellBeing" centers, which serve as Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHC). These centers provide timely and comprehensive care including same-day assessments, urgent stabilization, medication management, evidence-based psychotherapy, and crisis services.

The BHN WellBeing centers are located at 417 Liberty Street in Springfield and 77 Mill Street in Westfield, offering extended hours to accommodate the community's needs.
