BAPTIST COMMUNITY SERVICES

Baptist Community Services (BCS) is a nonprofit organization based in Amarillo, Texas, dedicated to enriching lives through Christian care. Their mission is to oversee and provide comprehensive services for senior adults and promote health and wellness within the community. This is done within a Christian atmosphere of love and understanding.

Services and Facilities

BCS owns, operates, funds, and supports several nonprofit entities that offer a range of services including retirement centers, nursing care, and affordable housing.

• Park Place Towers: A full-service retirement center for individuals aged 62 and over, featuring 133 independent living apartments. It provides complete accommodations and services, including a portion of living spaces allocated on a charitable basis.
• The Continental: Another retirement center offering 112 independent apartments for seniors aged 62 and over. It provides comprehensive services with charitable living spaces set aside.
• The Arbors: A 120-bed licensed nursing care facility participating in Medicaid and Medicare long-term skilled nursing programs, offering care to qualifying residents under Medicaid at lower rates.
• Baptist Community Affordable Housing Foundation (BCAHF): Established in 1998, focusing on developing affordable housing for lower-income populations and long-term senior care. Notably, BCAHF developed a 156-unit affordable housing project for seniors in Amarillo, including a 114-unit apartment building and rehabilitation of a historic 42-unit apartment building.

Additional Facilities and Partnerships

Besides the above, BCS operates the Amarillo Town Club, an exercise and wellness facility. It is also affiliated with the High Plains Christian Ministries Foundation, collaborating with Christian organizations to reach others for Christ locally and globally.
